OUR STORY

Our Beginnings

We started Sinzaworship for one reason: worship was never really about music, and we knew it was time to go back to the spirit of worship which is a place of sacrifice and surrender to God. Our founder, Felix Kitaka, has always been passionate about the ministry of worship and its place in his faith walk. There were many seasons of unpredictability in his life where his hope and trust was solely anchored in God.

It was in those moments of deep uncertainty he learnt to be carried and find rest in worship. As he learnt to worship he found that worship in his native tongue ministered deeper than he could comprehend giving birth to the name Sinzaworship which is a repetition of the word worship starting with ‘Sinza’ (a call to worship) in his native tongue.

Worship is more than just music. It’s the state of the heart. It is the place where the will at work in one’s life is the will of God. Ultimately it’s about surrendering to God and allowing His will to be done.

Many years later, as the world shut down and people were faced with the fear and uncertainty of the 2021 Covid-19 pandemic, we were presented with the perfect opportunity to remind people of the power of worship in restoring hope and bringing healing of spirit, body and soul. Hence the birth of the Healing Worship sessions on 31st July 2021.These online worship music sessions were intended to usher people into the presence of God and it was there that we would be reminded of God’s greatness despite what was going on around us and in the world.

Our Evolution

The online Healing Worship sessions would soon give way to the development of our flagship product – the Sinzaworship Mobile App. In a world with so many distractions the Sinzaworship mobile App was designed as a platform that would enable users access and get immersed into the kind of content that would lead them to worship and listen to the Word without the distractions common to other online platforms. Having started out with only one software engineer and with the limitations of self-funding the development process took longer than desired. But Felix remained committed to building it one ‘brick’ at a time.

Today we are thrilled to have a solution that makes it possible for users to feed on short form content through the Clips, follow specific Ministers through the Stream and also browse through a content catalogue and find teachings on diverse subjects that minister to them in different seasons of their lives.

Our Destiny Helpers

To everyone who was there when this dream was but a dream and all we had was faith to keep us going, we say thank you!

Sidney Kalange & Price Love

You consistently gave of your time & professional skill to make the production of the Healing worship sessions a reality. We vividly recall the day you dragged your shooting equipment uphill, to where the studio was, on foot because there was simply no means of transportation on account of the Covid-19 movement restrictions. Now that was commitment.

Eben Talemwa

We could never have asked for a more cheerful, committed and efficient logistics person. For you no place was too far to go and no time was too late to get a task done. You diligently showed up at every shoot making sure our worship partners had everything they needed. When the edited work needed to make its way from the production team, half way across town, to the online team you were available.

Herbert Mukwana

You have been a blessing to us in so many ways. When we needed a front-end software engineer to grow with, at a pivotal time in our journey, you offered your skills. We have grown together and evolved. The humility as demonstrated through your mentorship growth curve is nothing short of commendable. We are proud of the engineer and professional you are evolving into and continue to thank God for you.

Paul Lubega

You were there from the very start. Keen to apply yourself as an audio-video producer, with humility, diligence and passion you served. We will always be grateful for your part in the Sinzaworship story.

Patrick Walukagga

Your skills as a back-end software engineer have proven valuable to our very small and growing team. The sense of teamwork and dedication to what we are creating is commendable. We are thankful that you came our way just in time.

Rachel Mwine

We knew we could always count on you to carry us in prayer. And when we needed to brainstorm on some ideas for the communication strategy, you gave of your time and shared from your experience.

Rukh-Shana Kitaka

We didn’t think the demands of the Corporate communications life would afford you the time to support our dream but you saw the vision for what it really was – an opportunity to serve and serve diligently you did and still do! You brought structure, process and professionalism into our budding operations lending credence to a dream that is now a reality. We are blessed to have you continue walking this journey with us and are excited about where God is taking us.

Martin Tumwine

When all we had was a vision, to create the Sinzaworship App, and faith to keep us going, you believed in us enough to give your all – even when you were only one of two software engineers on the 2 man technical team. The idea we had for the App has greatly morphed since then, and all we can say is, “See what the Lord has done!”
